So far in 2009 we have raised £648.17 for Christian Aid - enough for 15 Community taps, each providing clean water for an entire village! 

Be encouraged that seemingly small amounts collected or given by you really do add up!  The amount raised by all the Colchester churches was £33,121. 

Street / supermarket collections (shaking a bucket) proved particularly successful, yielding and increase of 18 % on last year. 

For those who like to plan ahead, next year's bucket shaking dates are Saturdays 8th and 15th May.

HARVEST FOR THE HUNGRY 2009

In addition to the Harvest gifts (rice, flour sugar etc.) collected for Harvest for the Hungry,

we also raised an amazing £495.68

from our harvest offerings, donations and the harvest lunch. 

This is quite outstanding and will be well used to support hundreds of people far less fortunate that us.
